Man Sentenced For Reckless Driving
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - A man accused of reckless driving that led to the death of two College of Southern Idaho students found out his fate today.
20–year old Kade Laughlin of Filer pleaded guilty to the charges in court today. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail and 2 years probation. It was a difficult day for Reinhardt's and Austin's family members. "It doesn't feel like justice for Devon and Ryan," said Paula Austin, Devon Austin’s mother. "I know that Kade and those kids did not intend for what happened to happen, but it did and as a result of that there's two boys who were amazing that don't get to come home anymore," Laura Wilson, Ryan Reinhardt’s mother. Back in September 2009, 18–year old Ryan Reinhardt and 19–year old Devon Austin of Coeur D'Alene were killed in a crash. Laughlin was charged after a third person in Reinhardt and Austin's car reported that Laughlin had been chasing their car after they left a party. Comments ( |
