Man Who Stole Over $100,000 From Walmart Will Spend 6 Months Behind Bars
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - A former Twin Falls Wal-Mart employee accused of stealing over $100,000 will spend the next 6 months behind bars.
Back in December of last year, 29 year old assistant store manager Patrick Dee Howard reportedly stole over $109,000 in cash from the stores safe. After stealing the cash, Howard then booked a flight to Orlando Florida through Salt Lake City. In coordination between the Twin Falls Police Department and the Orange County Sheriff's Department in Orlando, Howard was caught and extradited back to Idaho. Since that time Howard has returned the entire amount stolen and was in a Twin Falls courtroom this Monday to hear his fate. Howard was given a uniformed sentence of 9 years with 2 fixed and 7 indeterminate. The judge suspended that sentence and placed Howard on 5 years of probation plus ordered him to serve 6 months in Twin Falls County Jail. Howard was also ordered to pay $5,500 to the Twin Falls County Sheriff Office is restitution for his extradition back to Idaho. Comments ( |
