McDonald's, Townsquare Media Present Check
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A group of local radio stations teamed up with McDonald's restaurants to raise money for low income school kids.
Townsquare Media, which includes KEZJ 95.7, KOOL 96.5, The Snake 98.3, and News Radio 1310 KLIX had disk jockeys at the three McDonald's restaurants in Twin Falls and the one in Buhl. The "McCash for Kids" effort managed to raise just over $1600 this Tuesday night for the South Central Community Action Partnership.
Leanne Trappen, Community Services Director with Community Action Partnership, says, "A percentage of the proceeds from the sales that evening went toward helping us purchase school supplies and pay fees for low income children so they can get an even start when they get back to school this fall."
The money raised will help buy school supplies like pencils, notebooks, and backpacks for school children who qualify for the program. The money will stay right here in southern Idaho.
