Blaine County, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Wildfires are still burning throughout our area.
As the number of days they've been burning grows, so does the number of personnel fighting them.
The crackling of the fire can be heard from miles away.
Smoke fills the skies along with helicopters working to secure containment lines along highway 75 between Hailey and Ketchum.
Meanwhile, ground crews continue to be added to the fight.
More than 1,000 personnel are battling the fire.
A fire which keeps growing, now estimated at more than 100,000 acres.
Containment is at 9 percent.
"A lot of homes were threatened, other places, the fire burned up to the foundation and didn't do anything,” said Sheriff Gene Ramsey, Blaine County.
A red flag warning for Sunday because of warmer temperatures and gusty winds leaves firefighters working overtime.
While in some spots, fires may be out, there is still plenty more burning.
But, difficult terrain and limited access creates challenges.
