Kimberly, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The new Chief of Police in Kimberly is going on two months strong now.
Jeff Perry began his law enforcement career in 1995, starting in Wilder.
He worked there for nearly 10 years before moving to Gooding to become the chief of police.
After another long stint in that community, Perry started his new role in Kimberly on September 4th.
He says it was a nice move for his family with roots in the area and shares with us his goals for the community.
"Just to keep a positive connection with people, not just the citizens but people who come in and work here, the police department and city in general, keep an open door relationship with the community here. As it grows, we're going to have more problems that creep up, but I want to keep up that good community service," explains Perry.
Perry adds, the only real issue he has seen since arriving at Kimberly is the calls for service have increased.
