Michael Jared Thompson now goes to district court
RUPERT, ID (KMVT) The man charged in the December 17th shooting death of Michael Kenneth Blair, 21, was in a Rupert courtroom again today.
A witness said the two men had been drinking. She said afterward when Thompson was driving, he cocked his pistol and pointed it backward. She said Blair put the gun in his mouth and it went off. Two weeks ago, Magistrate Judge Rick Bollar didn't find enough evidence to send Michael Jared Thompson, 24, to district court. The second degree murder charge against him was dropped. The prosecutor filed an involuntary manslaughter charge, and Thompson's preliminary hearing was held today. Judge Mick Hodges bound Thompson over to district court in this case. Thompson's arraignment will be set at a later date. Jan. 26, 2012. Comments ( |
