Military Moms Get Parenting Pointers

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) It's tough to raise kids in the first place. But add a parent serving in the military to that equation, and it gets even harder.

Parenting coach Sandy Spurgeon McDaniel showed parents how to help their kids do what they're told without mom or dad having a meltdown.

McDaniel says, "This parent can hold the line, this parent can come back. And then they can unite. Because one of the problems with coming back, whoever has been gone, has been gone, and doesn't know how to fit back into the family."

McDaniel shares her insights in the book "Don't Feed the Dragon." You can find out even more at McDaniel's website .
