Mini-Cassia Residents Get Help At Diabetes Expo
Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV) People who had questions about diabetes had a chance to get answers in Burley tonight.
Cassia Regional Medical Center and Minidoka Memorial Hospital teamed up for their third annual "Diabetes Expo." Attendees were able to talk to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare personnel, along with vendors who had products to help people deal effectively with diabetes. Certified Diabetes Educator Tennille Houston says, "As we go through the education process, they kind of see a light. With the knowledge they feel better about what's in their future." Those who came got free foot and blood pressure checks. Flu shots were also available at a reduced price. Houston says if you have questions about diabetes, call your doctor or the hospital, and tell them you want to talk to a diabetes educator. Nov. 15, 2012. Comments ( |
