Filer, Idaho (KTWT-TV) Miniature horses are dear to my heart and you can find them just outside the gates near the RV park.
Statistics show horses can live to be anywhere from 25 to 35 years old.
But miniature horses might live one–third longer of lives than large horses.
And for one local 4H participant, she has a close bond with her horse.
Aliza says, "some of their features are very tender. On the side of their leg and stomach, it is if you poke it, it will twitch and they'll move to the side. It's just a technique that you do to move over. And i just learned that when you clean out their hooves, you have to be careful because if they lose their balance, they can fall on top of you. And it really hurts you and the horse."
On Monday, some of the 4H events include the 4H working horse exhibit at nine a.m. You can find this event in the Zebarth Arena and the Junior Market Sale also begins at nine. That event is being held in the Lyle Masters Sale Barn.
