Money Raised Will Pay For Middle School Track Resurfacing
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) $95,000. That's how much students, parents, and community groups raised in just three years.
That money will help resurface the track at O'Leary Middle School in Twin Falls. The school district will provide the asphalt, while the money raised will pay for a rubberized surface on the track.
Brady Dickinson with the Twin Falls School District says, "I think it's really impressive that they were able to raise that kind of money over a three years period. That's a pretty big project to be undertaken, and I think it's impressive that the community came together to make it happen."
Work on the O'Leary track could begin in the next four to six weeks. Once it's started, the project should only take two weeks to complete.
