Motorcycle Collides With Car At US93/84 Junction
UPDATED INFORMATION: Police say Bobbie Ward, 21 of Shoshone was northbound in a car and had slowed for traffic when Darrel McMahon, 63 of Twin Falls also traveling northbound on a motorcycle failed to slow down and hit the rear of Ward’s vehicle. It is suspected that McMahon was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. Investigation by the police continues.
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) This Thursday afternoon a motorcycle versus car collision took place under the eastbound overpass of the I–84 / U.S. 93 interchange. At around 1:45 on Thursday, both the Jerome Sheriff's office and ISP responded to the report of a motorcycle that had collided into the back of a sedan on U.S. 93. When authorities arrived they found one man being cared for my passing motorist. According to an official at the sense the man on the motorcycle failed to notice traffic coming to a stop. And at that time he attempted to lay his bike down on its side to avoid the collision. But due to the speed of the motorcycle, the man slammed into the back of a green sedan causing just minor damage. The man on the motorcycle would eventual get to his feet and by all accounts, is doing fine. Traffic on 93 was back up for about a half a mile and the road was opened back up within an hour.
