Mountain Home AFB weighs-in on Reno plane crash
MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The 2011 Gunfighter Skies Air Show features a wide array of fighters, transport and much more.
But safety was a huge concern not only for the people on the ground, but the men and women in the skies. We talked to one representative and asked how this show is different from the event in Reno. "Back in Reno yesterday, there is a difference between what they were doing and what we are doing here. Today, here at the Gunfighter Skies, is an air show where we have safe demonstrations. What happened at the Reno air race was a competition so it's a completely different thing. One of the main reasons why what we are doing here today is using safe procedures to maintain a safe demonstration for the crowd." The air show concludes Sunday and is free to the public. Gates open at 8, with the ramps opening at 9. Aerial demonstrations are scheduled throughout the day with the first performances starting at 11. Comments ( |
