Mountain Home Airman Found Dead

Mountain Home, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Authorities are investigating the death of a Mountain Home Airman.

The Air Force Base stated in a release that a 366th Fighter Wing Airman was discovered dead in his home Sunday.

Authorities are waiting to release his name until they notify next-of-kin.

"Today we lost a valued member of the Gunfighter family," said Col. Chris Short, 366th Fighter Wing commander. "The Air Force is a close-knit family and the loss of one of our own affects us all. We understand this was a very tragic occurrence and our sympathy goes out to his family, friends and coworkers during this tough time. His professionalism and dedication to the Gunfighter family will not soon be forgotten."
