Murder charges filed against Damon Azure, victim identified as his brother
TWIN FALLS, IDAHO (KMVT-TV) One man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of another man who has been identified as 31 year old Seanachan Azure. In a Twin Falls Courtroom this afternoon, Damon W. Azure, 32, was to appear before Judge Kershaw. The arraignment was postponed until tomorrow because Azure was not cooperating with the Public Defender.
Azure has been charged with resisting an officer and first Degree Murder in connection with Seanachan Azure's death whose body was discovered Sunday morning near the top of the grade to Twin Falls Park. Damon Azure is from Cassia County. It's believed that Seanachan is his younger brother. In the photo attached to this story, Damon Azure appears from a 2003 photo taken by the Cassia County sheriffs office. The photo of Seanachan Azure was taken by the Cassia County Sheriffs office in January of 2012. It all started Sunday morning, when police began a pursuit of a brown Ford Taurus. The car chase ended near Hansen. Police say just hours later, they received reports the car was involved in a wreck near the Twin Falls park entrance. That's where witnesses say a man was lying in the roadway. When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect who has been identified as Azure, refused to get out of the car, which was still running. Officers eventually arrested him for resisting and obstructing an officer. Azure apparently also goes by the name of Samon Wayne Azure. The Twin Falls county sheriff's office says the body found in front of the car suffered apparent gunshot wounds, but officials haven't released any more details about his death. The incident is still under investigation. Feb. 13, 2012. Comments ( |
