Nampa Teachers Looking For Work, Could Find It Here

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) More than 150 teachers are leaving the Nampa School District. But financial troubles there could help other districts looking for teachers.

Here in Twin Falls the school district has ten open positions, but those should easily be filled before school starts this fall.

Beth Pendergrass with the Twin Falls School District says, "Having these 150 teachers out there could increase the applicant pool for districts who still have positions open or positions they need to fill. So that's something that could potentially help."

Pendergrass explains the Twin Falls School District has had big challenges in recent years. But they've had strong leadership to make hard decisions to survive tough times.
