Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) National Library Week is wrapping up.

The American Library Association started sponsoring the event in 1958.

It was created as a way to celebrate the importance of libraries, books and reading nationwide.

The Twin Falls Public Library celebrates with different events each year.

"We're hoping to make libraries the hub of a community and not just for books and reading, but literacy in all different forms," said Jennifer Hills, Twin Falls Public Library.

The library celebrated its new book mobile on Wednesday, National Book Mobile Day.

And, Friday and Saturday the Twin Falls Public Library Foundation held a book sale to raise money for various library programs.
