Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Local high school students are celebrating the holidays with their first ever Christmas show.

The sounds of the Christmas season filled the air Saturday as Synergy took center stage at the Canyon Ridge High School Auditorium.

"It's a stepping stone for us. It's our first big production. We're trying to figure out the mic system and lights and sound and just experiment and have fun," said Karen Goodrich, Choral Director, Canyon Ridge High School.

The new show choir featured popular holiday songs, from the traditional to the modern.

All twenty–four members shared their unique talents and love of music.

"They've got a lot of talent and they just need an avenue to express that joy."

Senior Shanise Biggers, has been singing for the last six years.

"It's just a family friendly show that can be for any audience," said Shanise Biggers, Synergy.

For Biggers and other members, the group is about much more than just performing.

"My favorite part about being in Synergy is the closeness. We're all like family," said Biggers.

"It's been really fun. We can just come out here, sing, dance and be ourselves. We don't have to worry about people judging us or anything. Just come out here and let it all go," said Kaleb Price, Synergy.

The group is raising money to buy new equipment , specifically new microphones.

"We're just going to keep adding little by little and just hopefully grow the program," said Goodrich.

And, in the meantime ... they'll continue to make beautiful music together.

If you missed the performances the next big show will be in February.

Synergy is putting together a Valentine's Day performance.
