New Hiring Incentive For Idaho Companies

Tools

By Brandon Redmond

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV )The Idaho legislature passed a new hiring incentive for Idaho companies. Under the proposal passed last week, companies that generate new jobs would receive a benefit for each new hire. The companies would get a one thousand dollar bonus if they will give a new position to a veteran.

“To me I thought it was a good bill because it's an incentive for a company to hire more people and the thing that really put it over the top for me was the one thousand dollar credit for the companies for hiring a veteran," said State Representative Clark Kauffman.

The hire one act will give Idaho an incentive to attract new companies. The credit will cost Idaho approximately ten point four million dollars next year.
