Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV )

The first dog park in Twin Falls opened its gate this morning.
The idea was conceived in 2005 and is now open for the public.
"It's really good, it's a great thing for Twin Falls to have a real dog park. I love how they separated the big dogs from the little dogs if that's your choice. I also love the entrance here introducing dogs to other dogs and then taking them into the deal it's just a really good thing."
The total cost of the park was one hundred and seventy thousand dollars and is still receiving donations.
Although the park is open parks and recreations still have some other amenities to add to the park for the dogs.
The design of the park also has residents ecstatic.
"I am actually so ecstatic how well, number one how well designed it is and how well attended this opening ceremony is. That's a unique situation to have that much support in this community and to have it come together. Having it in little old Twin Falls is super cool."
Having the park in the community adds to the quality of life and allows dog owners and dogs to socialize within the twin falls community.
"Just a really good idea for Twin. It's a good idea for the community and it's a great way to meet new friends and meet new dog friends and so it's a really good thing I'm really happy"
" I think it has a significant impact on the quality of life that people will persue for Twin Falls."
