New Rules For Little League Coaches

Tools

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) All Little League coaches in Twin Falls are now required to wear name badges when on the field.

The Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Department does background checks on all coaches.

After passing the check, coaches get a badge with their name and picture on it.

The program is in its early stages, so it isn't being fully enforced.

However, it will be in the coming weeks.

"I think they are a good thing for everybody to know who the coach is. The parents feel a little more comfortable. They have you do a back ground check, then they give you your badge so they know that you're not some weird guy off the streets or something. They know who your coach is and who specifically who is taking care of their kid," explains Matthew Wallace, Little League Coach.
