Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) With the city of Twin Falls population continuing to grow, the need for more schools is a much needed necessity.
And thanks to a recently approve 74 million dollar levy.
The city is getting two new elementary schools and one new middle school.
On Monday, the school district approached the city for the annexation of the property along Hankins Road.
The city is now developing a plan to go forward on the official annexation.
But until then, the planning process will continue.
And next week the district is making their planes available to view for the public.
"On Tuesday of next week we're going to be unveiling the designs of our new schools. And se were inviting the community to come over the canyon ridge high school from 6 to 6:30... we'll have a short presentation and then people can come in from 6:30 to 9 in a drop in setting... we'll have display boards up showing the designs of the three schools."
Said Brady Dickinson, Director of Operations for the Twin Falls School District.
Again that open house will be on Tuesday August 12th at Canyon Ridge High School.
It will run from 6 to 9 in the evening… in room 301.
Following, a public comment period will be held and any and all comments are welcomed by the district.
