New Traffic Signal To Be Activated In Jerome Near High School Next Week
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) – A new traffic signal on Idaho 25 at the intersection of Main Street and Tiger Drive will be activated as early as Tuesday September 4, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.
The signal will be activated and tested for timing and traffic detection Tuesday and, barring any complex issues, will continue operating thereafter. Drivers are encouraged to pay special attention while driving through the intersection after the signal is activated. Lane restrictions and short delays may be necessary until all work is completed. Drivers should use caution in the work zone and watch for workers and equipment. The reconstructed intersection also includes a westbound right turn lane, enhancements to the sidewalk and pedestrian ramps, and repaved surface. Idaho Sand and Gravel, of Jerome, is the contractor for the $478,732 project. Comments ( |
