Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV/KTWT-TV) The Twin Falls School District held a public meeting this evening to discuss the Twin Falls High School main lobby remodel.

"One of the key factors is that we want to keep the assents of the original high school a local landmark. The look will be very similar but it will be new and refreshed” said Carl Voigt, Twin Falls School District.

Funding for the project comes from the 2006 plant facilities levy.

The total cost-more than six hundred thousand dollars.

"We have a 33 million dollar ten year levy, every year we identify projects we do. The money has to be spent on these types of things it can't be spent on anything else” said Dr. Wiley Dobbs Superintendent, Twin Falls School District.

Students, staff, and the community will see a new look inside and out, basically an entire new building.

"We're going to raise the roof, new interior, new glass, new doors; steps will be going away and replaced with an A.D.A. compliant ramp” said Voigt.

Another change to the lobby, increased security with additional visibility and more outside lighting.

"It's going to look nice when we're done and our next project will be the continuation of remodeling the wing that is attached to the lobby” said Voigt.

The future lobby construction is set for March and completion by August 2013.
