October "Feast" Takes Over The Turf Club
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) It was an October Feast time this Wednesday over at the Turf Club.
The all German–style celebration was put on by the local Kiwanis Club of Twin Falls.
All of the proceeds raised from the feast will stay with the local club to help support youth projects.
Locally the Kiwanis club sponsors Key Clubs in multiple area high schools and awards scholarships every year.
For $8 a person or $25 for the entire family, those who showed up were able to take part in some delicious German delicacies....
And the Sausage and sauerkraut was just the beginning
"It's great food! Its brats and a dish called roll call which is a purple cabbage mixed with pineapple and other kinds of coleslaw kind of stuff. But its not like anything you have ever had... it’s fantastic, it's a great meal. People come every year for it, we fill up early and were working till 8 o'clock late."
Said James Rabe President of the Twin Falls Kiwanis Club
Along with supporting Key Club, the Kiwanis also support many youth programs that are in need of financial assistance, as well as volunteering time to many local community projects.
