The governor's spot is up for re-election this November, and that means, Governor Butch Otter is hitting the campaign trail.
Earlier this week Otter stopped by the KMVT station to speak with us one-on-one about his re-election campaign.
The governor addressed many topics including our state growing because many businesses are coming into the area, that includes C3 moving into Twin Falls, and brings in hundreds of brand new jobs.
Another discussion point was education. The governor says they are doing everything they can to provide children with the best schooling.
We also asked him about his plans for the upcoming legislative session.
Otter said, "We're started meeting with the legislature already especially on the budget because I want to keep them up to speed on exactly how the revenues are coming in and how we're doing and obviously, we had a little growth last month over what our expectations where and so that's very positive."
He's running for re-election against former Twin Falls resident democrat Keith Allred.
