Overland construction on track in Burley

By KMVT News Staff

Burley, Idaho (KMVT) - Roadwork in Burley is still underway as crews are reconstructing North Overland Road, from I-84 to the Snake River Bridge.

Many drivers use this road every year, that's why the City of Burley and ITD joined forces to develop plans for the future.

Which includes installation of a new traffic signal at Third Street and retention of signals at Fifth and Seventh streets, construction of three lanes in each direction, installation of a full-length median and the frontage road will no longer exist.

Access to businesses is limited during the construction; the project's scheduled for completion by mid-October.

Knife River Corporation Northwest of Boise is the contractor for the three million dollar reconstruction.
