Overnight Fire In Jerome Damages Home

Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - An overnight fire in a Jerome neighborhood has left the back portion of a home destroyed. The fire, called in around midnight appears to have started outside the back of the house. A police officer in the neighborhood was able to alert the one person in the home of the fire. He and his pets were able to escape the blaze without any reported injury. Now, officials are on the scene sifting through the evidence to determine what caused the fire. The fire broke out in the 300 Block of 4th avenue west. The extent of damage and the dollar amount lost has yet to be determined. Fire and police remained on the scene this morning.
