Paint Magic 2012 Finding Success Once Again
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) 22 teams, 23 homes painted. Paint Magic 2012 has wrapped up after another successful year.
For 27 years, volunteers from throughout the Magic Valley have changed the lives of area seniors. Homes have been transformed through a paint brush and TLC. Saturday marked a time to thank the volunteers for all their work with a lunch at the Twin Falls City Park. "It's just a dramatic change. The homeowners go from being kind of disappointed in the way their homes look to being able to be very appreciative, very elated and very happy to have their homes painted," says Karen Stoker. "It's been such a great team. I went on and got on the executive board and direct it and get more involved with it because it's such a great organization," adds David Bowen. BJ Markkola whose home was painted says, "I had planned on painting my house before I retired, but medically I wound up retiring years early and it's so frustrating not to be able to finish my house. It looks so bad, to have it finished, it just makes you want to cry." This is a major project for South Central Community Action Partnership. A big thanks to the sponsors and volunteers for making it all possible. Comments ( |
