Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Paint magic came to a close Saturday. But not before the nonprofit helped bring new colors to thirty families.
"This year which is our 27th year in painting, we actually painted 30 homes this year. And we figured out that's about 2000 man hours for these 30 homes,” said Karen Stoker, Treasurer for Paint Magic.
Homeowners who want the help from paint magic were required to fill out an application. They have to quality for income, disability or be a senior citizen. Homes are then put into a box and paint magic drew out thirty houses to be painted this year.
"Our house was a cabin that had been extended to and they had brick on it and then tanish color and we have no money to do anything to it for the ten years we've owned it and they've turned it into a really nice bright house," said Susan Owens, a homeowner whose home was painted during Paint Magic.
Helping out others in the community draws dozens of businesses and organizations who all were a part of paint magic.
"We have 30 teams, we have a picnic crew, we have Boy Scouts setting up and tearing down at the picnic. This is just a wonderful wonderful organization. . We have plenty of homeowners here that are enjoying the food and they are just totally excited about having their homes painted," said Karen Stoker.
