Paint Magic Volunteers Gather To Paint Homes Saturday

By Jeff Gomske

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Volunteers gathered Saturday morning at various locations to help Paint Magic give a facelift to homes that need it.

Those who showed up did so on their own time to help out in the prep work for the homes.

Home owners throughout Southern Idaho nominate their residence for the chance to be painted.

The selection committee then does a random drawing of those who qualify.

Speaking of that, how a home is placed in the drawing is based on several qualifications.

"They fill out an application, they have to qualify for income, disability, senior, there are several different categories they have to qualify for, and all the homes are put into a box and we went up and drew it and that's how we got this house” according to Sue Ellen McClure, Paint Co-Captain.

The sponsors this year include Smiths Food King, the Community Council of Idaho and of course, Neuhoff Communications.

Most of the work done Saturday will continue Monday after a day of sitting from all the prep work.
