Parents getting careless about putting kids in booster seats
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A new study finds parents who carpool don't often put kids in booster seats.
More than 600 parents of kids ages four through eight took the survey. 76–percent say they use a booster seat for their child. But when it comes to driving other children, only 55–percent insist on it, according to a study in February's "Pediatrics". Some reasons noted include limited vehicle space and difficulties making arrangements with other drivers. Health experts say booster seats reduce the risk of injury by 50–percent compared to seat belts. Comments ( |
