Patient Transportation Service Now Available At North Canyon

By KMVT Staff

Gooding, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) North Canyon Medical Center now offers a free patient transportation service.

The service is available to patients in need of transportation to and from the hospital for health care services.

The free transportation is available to residents in Gooding County, Camas County, Lincoln County and Glenns Ferry.

It runs Monday through Friday.

After a community assessment, the hospital began the process of developing a transportation program and acquiring a handicap accessible vehicle.

That was a year ago. They're delighted to see this free service start.

Shellie Amundson, Community Relations Director, North Canyon Medical Center says, "it's for individuals who simply need a ride, whether they have a physical disability, whether they're a senior citizen, whether they're someone who simply isn't able to drive so there are no restrictions with the program."

Patients wanting to schedule a ride should call 208–934–5285.
