Local BASE jumpers are coming together to organize a day of clean
up at the Perrine Bridge.

The Perrine Bridge Canyon Clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, June 28th.
It will begin at nine in the morning and last all day.

The clean-up is meant to serve as a way for BASE jumpers to give thanks for the community for being so accepting of the sport.

Owner of Tandem BASE, Sean Chuma explains why the day is so important for the community.

Chuma notes, "we're going to be jumping down there and on our hike back out of the canyon we're going to be picking up a lot of garbage on the side that people wouldn't normally be able to get to. There's shopping carts down there, there's all kinds of things that blew off cars and trucks."

Chuma hopes that members of the community will come out to help clean the pathway.

He assures us you don't have to jump off the bridge to add to the day of giving back.
