Filer, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) One thing you can say about the Twin Falls County Fair is there is never a lack of animals to go around.
For the most part petting them is off limits.
But there is one exhibit at the fair were petting the animals is strongly encouraged.
Every year the petting zoo is a huge attraction here at the fair… And this year is no different.
Animal Specialties opens their gates at around noon every day and is located on the western end of the fairgrounds.
With 11 different species totaling over 160 different animals, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
But don't expect to see any exotic animals at this petting zoo.
Animal Specialties is strictly centered on the farm.
"We have ordinary animals that people have around on farms all the time... cows and horses and sheep's and goats and chickens... Its cooler in here that it is out in the sun, you can come in here and just wonder around and look at all the animals and have a really nice time."
Bunky Boger Owner of Animal Specialties
The petting zoo is free for everyone to enjoy.
If you would like to feed the animals you can buy a cup of food that will only set you back a buck.
And for those who have always wanted to milk a dairy cow... Show up nightly at 5, 6 and again at 7:30 and take your turn milking the cows.
