By Brittany Cooper

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A Sun Valley Police officer taught local cyclists a thing or two about bike safety.

The College of Southern Idaho's Sustainability Council invited Sgt. Kim Orchard to speak as part of "Green Week".

Orchard says now that it's springtime, a number of cyclists will be out and about.

He offered some tips for those considering to ride their bike to work.

Orchard adds, "ride your bike on your day off to your place of work, see how long it takes, what road conditions you will run into, what's the best, smartest route, how sweaty I'll be and really investigate where I will place my bike."

If you would like to reach Sgt. Orchard, please call the Sun Valley Police Department.
