Heyburn, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Officials from the Heyburn Police Department and Minidoka County Sheriff's Office are looking for a suspect they say rammed a stolen car into three vehicles last night.

Two of those belonged to their departments.

Heyburn Police Chief Dan Bristol says a Heyburn police officer tried to pull over a stolen GMC white pick-up truck.

Before pursuit, the officer called for and received back up from a Minidoka County officer.

The driver of the truck led police on a chase near the Highway 30 and Highway 24 junction.

After driving south on the road then north, the truck turned around and rammed into the Heyburn Police truck, leaving it totaled in the road.

The Minidoka County officer continued pursuit.

Eventually, the driver ran into that deputy's Jeep Grand Cherokee and another civilian vehicle before fleeing eastbound down Interstate 84.

The Heyburn officer was taken to the hospital for precautionary reasons, but has since been released.

Idaho State Police is also offering its assistance in finding the suspect.

If you have any information on this incident, you're asked to call the Heyburn Police Department at (208) 679-4545 or Minidoka County Dispatch at (208) 434-2320.
