Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Monday’s wind storm damaged a portion of the roof at Jerome fire department Station 1. About half of the roof’s first and second layers were damaged according to Zoe Monahan with the city. The fire station is part of the city hall on First Avenue East. City officials decided to close the building Monday when debris from the roof was being blown off. The wood structure has been covered and the roof will be repaired. The main structure is ok, Monahan said. No one was injured and the building is safe to be around. The city hall was open for business today. The debris has been removed from the area.
