Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Chair of the Urban Renewal Agency is stepping down now that her term has expired, meaning that a position is open on the URA board.
Board members meet once a month and help guide the City Council on downtown revitalization and economic development projects.
The URA also works closely with the City staff.
"It can be fairly intensive because they deal with some fairly complex subject matter, but at the same rate, it's very rewarding. It's probably one of our most critical tools as far as economic development. It's very involved with the businesses that we attract here. It's also very involved with the infrastructure improvements in downtown," explains Josh Palmer, City of Twin Falls.
The three-year term begins on July 1st and expires on June 30th of 2017.
The deadline to apply is May 16th.
