Postal Service Holds Annual Food Drive

By Brittany Cooper

Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Postal Service and its letter carriers held their annual food drive Saturday.

Idahoans placed non–perishable food like peanut butter and canned goods, in plastic bags. The Postal Service collected the goods during their normal delivery routes.

All the food collected will go to local community food banks and pantries.

Last year Americans donated 74 million pounds of food, including more than 350 thousand pounds of food in the Gem State.
