Powerful Storm Causes Widespread Damage
Minidoka County, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Wind from a powerful thunderstorm did some damage in the Mini–Cassia area last night.
These pictures were sent in by viewers. As you can see, the gusts were powerful enough to knock the limbs off trees and even uprooted some of those trees. Several buildings in the area had damage. There were power outages in Cassia and Minidoka counties. The hardest hit areas appear to be Heyburn and Rupert. There were unconfirmed reports of 78 mile per hour gusts at the Burley Airport.
