Jimmy John's Helps Prep Students For The Job Market

By Joey Martin

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Preparing students for the future is what the Twin Falls School District is all about.

A part of preparing for the future is both getting students ready for higher education...

And also preparing them for the job market.

And on that front, the Twin Falls School District is taking an active approach.

This week, the school district welcomed in representatives from Jimmy John’s Sandwiches into their schools.

The national sandwich chain travels state-to-state and school-to-school educating local students on the do's and don'ts of workplace interviews.

“We really appreciate it. Jimmy John's contacted us and they do this evidently all over the United States and wanted the opportunity to work with our students. I talked with some of the students yesterday after the presentation and they really... really enjoyed the program," says Cathy Trotter, Twin Falls High School.

During the 45 minute presentation...

The Jimmy John's representative outlined all of the proper things to do in a job interview.

And also conducted mock interviews to give the students a feel for how it would go.

The group will continue with their presentation tomorrow over at Canyon Ridge High School.
