Preserving Our Past To Enjoy In The Future
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Designers, building owners and interested citizens had the opportunity to meet with the Twin Falls Historic Preservation Commission Thursday evening.
The commission received a grant to develop architectural guidelines for the preservation of buildings in the Historic Warehouse District. The guidelines give some flexibility to owners working on their property. Plus, they're designed to support the economic development of the area. And as commission member Ryan Horsley explains, there's been plenty of recent growth. "Millions of money have been spent in the Historic Warehouse District over the last several years and that's exciting. There's been so many changes in downtown as well. People go to bigger cities or other cities and see the changes, see the way, the look of downtown and they want that for our community," adds Horsley.
