Preview Of The 2nd Annual Bruhawk Relays

By Ben Lyda

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Runners at the Twin Falls High School are gearing up for the second annual Bruhawk Relays.
The unique track meet was designed by coaches from Twin Falls and Canyon Ridge high schools.
All the schools in the Great Basin Conference plus three others will be competing.
The meet is different in that it is mostly relays, including a mascot relay, and a unified four by one hundred.
The unified relay pairs runners with other athletes with special needs.
Twin Falls assistant coach explains why they started this meet.
"And we are just going to see if we can put on a twilight meet for the kids you know get them excited running under the lights. And basically we are just trying to give back to the kids, give them something different. They have been in the same routine for a long time, same races, so we are going to challenge them let them run some relays and things they don't normally get to do."
The Bruhawk Relays will be Friday the 2nd at 6 PM at the Twin Falls High School track.
