Hansen, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Ag safety was the name of the game at Hansen High School on Friday.

Hundreds of students, instructors and volunteers participated in Progressive Ag Safety Day.

Hansen, Murtaugh and Valley 3rd and 4th graders represented the eager learners.

Organizers say there are a different set of dangers in a rural area versus an urban setting. Volunteers prepared these children on a variety of topics including safety around a tractor and chemical safety.

"I think what we see from the school districts is a broad acceptance of this as part of their school activity," adds Rick Phillips, Public Affairs Manager, J.R. Simplot.

Simplot partnered with St. Luke's and Farm Bureau to put on the event.
The Progressive Ag Day program will next travel up to Fairfield in the fall.
