Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) With all the fires we've been having in southern Idaho, there's no shortage of "extra stuff" floating around in the air. People of all ages who have allergies or lung conditions find it extra hard to breathe.

Contact wearer Kendra says, "I'm actually not from here, so this is the first time I've experienced so many fires back to back, and it's crazy. I wear contacts, the only reason I'm wearing them today, because it hurts so bad to put them in, is my glasses broke."

Many people with breathing problems or allergies are simply making do while waiting for the fires to be put out.

Concerned father Nate says, "We're hoping the fire doesn't last very long. Our kids, one of them, has really bad allergies, and it's been tough on him. We have to give him a nebulizer to help with his breathing. This fire hasn't been good, so hopefully they get it under control soon and clear up the skies."

Fire fighters continue to gain the upper hand with blazes like the Canyon Cave fire. Occasional rain showers and cooler temperatures have helped turn the balance, but it's still going to take some time before all the fires are completely out.

Kendra says, "I know they're doing the best that they can, but please, either rain, no lightning. Or please just put them out. I know they're working hard and that's great. But I wish the fires would go away."
