TWIN FALLS, ID (KMVT) The College of Southern Idaho and Idaho State University Twin Falls are teaming up to make sure kids have good books and healthy snacks during Christmas break.

The effort is called Read and Feed. The books and snacks will be given out to first and second graders at Lincoln Elementary School in Twin Falls. The donations will be put into CSI-ISU drawstring bags and given to the kids early next month.

John Hughes, Chair of the CSI Education Department, says, "Give as many books, we’d like them to be gently used or new, that would be fantastic. Age-appropriate for first and second graders, and a health snack, popcorn, nutritional bars, those types of things."

Hughes says they hope to collect about 200 books to give away. You can drop off your donations of books or snacks at the CSI Education Office in the Aspen Building, or the ISU Twin Falls Office in the Evergreen Building on the CSI Campus.

The donation deadline is December 1st.

You can call CSI's John Hughes at 732-6549 or Chris Vaage at ISU Twin Falls at 736-2101.
