Recreation Area In Jerome County To Be Closed
Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A popular recreation area in Jerome County will be off–limits starting Monday.
The area north of Golf Course Road, within a half a mile east of U.S. Highway 93 will be affected by surface–mining activities.
The Idaho Transportation Department announced the mining work is part of stage two of the I-84, U.S. Highway 93 reconstruction. The project replaces the eastbound I–84 overpass, realigns the eastbound on and off ramps and installs a relocated traffic signal, south of the junction.
Boise–based Western Construction is the contractor for the nearly 12–million dollar project.
