Red's Trading Post in Twin Falls is celebrating their part in rock history.

The store has proof that Nikki Sixx of Motley Crue bought his first guitar from the store.

Sixx grew up in nearby Jerome .
In honor of the event, store General Manager Ryan Horsley is putting up a sign in honor of the band.

Although this has been a rumor in the Magic Valley for years, it became real knowledge when Sixx told the story about his first guitar on an episode of "LA Ink".

Horsley says he is honored that his family's store is part of history, saying, "My grandfather sold him the guitar and it’s kind of neat. It's one of the biggest rock bands in history and their bassist bought his guitar here in Twin Falls."

Horsley tells us Sixx is giving him backstage tickets to his show in Salt Lake City August 1st.

The sign is being worked on by Snake River Design and will be put in the front of the building as soon as it is done.
