Ketchum, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Reimagining the community library in Ketchum.

That's what Denver-based architect Dennis Humphries set out to help the community do Wednesday during several brainstorm sessions.

People were asked to come with their ideas of what a library of the future might look like.

The sessions included activities to get the creative juices flowing and photo presentations to help spark new ideas.

Humphries helps libraries around the country redesign to better meet their community's changing needs.

"Libraries are truly the only public buildings that still exist. Every other public building you go into, be it the public school, you have a child there or you must be a caregiver, or have a specific reason. The public library does not discriminate against anybody that walks in the front door," Humphries says.

The community library plans to continue gathering public feedback on ways to best utilize the space.
