Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Life hasn't been easy for the Setser family.
Jay Setser of Rupert lost his life over the weekend in an ATV accident near Jackpot.
The former firefighter went on this backcountry trip with friends, including members of the East End Fire Department.
But as a child, Jay, his mother, and two of his brothers were involved in a head-on collision with a semi.
Jay was the only survivor and has been his father's rock ever since.
"It's been one moment at a time right now. A lot of praying to God for his help, not only for us, but everyone else. It's getting better, you know, every moment is a little easier," Ron Setser, Jay’s father, says.
Jay Setser's funeral is scheduled for Friday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Shoshone.
The fire department will play bagpipes from the church to Shoshone Cemetery and then again at the grave site.
Food and refreshments will be served afterwards at the church.
